I didn't grow up with a healthy relationship with food or fitness. Like a lot of young women, I started exercising at 16 because I wanted to tone up quickly. I bought into everything, the fit teas, the detox programmes, the skinny wraps. I did the little workouts I'd seen online, put in the effort, and got almost nowhere.
For years I kept doing the same things and wondering why nothing was working. The problem wasn't my effort. It was that everything I'd been sold was noise.
Eventually I decided to work with a coach. It changed everything. Within months I had more clarity, more progress, and more confidence than I'd had in years. They didn't give me a strict plan to follow. They dismantled every myth I'd been holding onto and showed me how things actually worked. I was hooked.
I went on to study personal training, initially just to understand it better for myself. It quickly became the thing I couldn't stop thinking about.
What I didn't talk about for a long time was that underneath all of it, I had developed some really unhealthy patterns around food. Restriction, guilt, that constant push and pull that so many women know but don't say out loud. Studying nutrition through EIQ gave me the framework to understand what was actually happening, undo years of conditioning, and build a genuinely healthy relationship with food for the first time.
That combination, the personal experience, the qualifications, the years of wading through the noise, is what led me to build the EmpowHER Project. Because I know exactly where you've been. And I know there's a much better way.
Most coaching programmes hand you a meal plan and a workout schedule and leave you to figure it out. That's not what this is.
I educate you. You'll understand how nutrition actually works, calories, protein, balance, so you can make your own decisions with confidence, not just follow rules. Your training programme is built around your life and your experience level, whether you've never set foot in a weights room or you just need someone to finally point you in the right direction.
